Hoolock Consulting Privacy Policy

This is the privacy policy for Hoolock Consulting Limited.  As we don’t like being contacted by random strangers, we take the privacy of all of our visitors and contacts very seriously. 

This policy covers all data that is shared by a visitor with us whether directly or indirectly. This policy has been written by ourselves having taken account of as much advice as we have been able to find.  If there are any questions or comments about this policy, please direct them to tim@hoolock-consulting.com. 

Our Policy

We only collect personal information on a voluntary basis.  If you contact us for any reason we will only store the information that you provide us with which is relevant to the reason that you contacted us. We will never pass on your information to any other organisation for any reason unless legally compelled to do so.

If you complete any of the forms on the website, your details will initially be stored on Google Drive. Once we have processed your information, we will store it in a CRM system (Capsule) and in a mailing system (MailChimp).

MailChimp keeps a record of your preferences so should you choose to opt out, it will be recorded here and you should not receive any further communications.

Hoolock Consulting uses all reasonable security measures to ensure that any and all personal information that is collected is protected. We take strong precautions to protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Obviously, nothing is perfect but we will do our best to protect your personal data.  We cannot guarantee the security of your data in transit so any submission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use reasonable measures to try to prevent unauthorised access.

The data that Hoolock Consulting collects from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the UK although no one from outside of the UK will have direct access to any of it.   By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

We use cookies and similar technologies to run our website and help us understand how you use it.  This includes what pages you have looked at and where you are located.  However, there is nothing that tells us who you actually are! 

We look at this information out of interest but never actually do anything with it.  This is not because we don't want to, we just have no idea how to use it effectively.  If you do not accept cookies, then none will be sent.

Our website includes SSL certificates for encryption.  Search engines will only index the secure version of the site and visitors will only ever be able to access the secure version.

Our website contains links to other websites.  These websites will have their own privacy policy which should be noted.  Hoolock Consulting has no control over these websites or their privacy policies.

If you provide us with a business card when we meet, we will consider that you have willingly provided us with certain personal information.  We will store your business card both physically and electronically.  We may therefore contact you again after that initial meeting to discuss subjects that we believe will be of interest to you.  We will endeavour to limit any such contact to a small number of contacts in any one year.  If at any stage you no longer wish to be contacted please inform us and we will refrain from doing so.  We will keep a record of your details together with the notification that you no longer wish to be contacted.
